Metric SMS Terms

These SMS Terms govern the Metric text-messaging service operated by Automated Software Inc. They supplement, and do not replace, our Terms of Service.

Program description

Metric provides an SMS-based industrial maintenance assistant. Each customer organization is issued a dedicated phone number. Maintenance technicians at that organization text the number with questions about their equipment, such as faults, error codes, and part replacement, and Metric replies with troubleshooting guidance and diagrams drawn from the equipment manuals. Replies may include images (MMS). You may send text, photos, videos, and voice messages. Voice messages are transcribed to text.

How you opt in

You opt in by texting our number. We do not send text messages to any phone number that has not messaged us first, and we never send marketing or promotional text messages. Your organization shares its dedicated number with its technicians internally and on the Organization Settings page of the Metric application.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. We reply to the messages you send us, and a single answer may arrive as more than one message.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Metric does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may.

To opt out

Reply STOP to any message from us at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Information you send us by text message is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
